Nothing goes together like Turkey and Football??

Yeah, you heard me right- Turkey and Football!! The tradition began in 1934, when the NFL started it's first Thanksgiving Game Day. The Portsmouth Spartans had just moved to Detroit and became the Lions, and over 24,000 people attended the game. Since that first game against the Chicago Bears in 1934, the Detroit Lions have played every Thanksgiving day. Not until 1966, and the Dallas Cowboys, had any such a consistent tradition been established. Now the two teams - the Lions and the Cowboys - are the staple games of Thanksgiving. .
