Southern Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is that one day a year when we all take a moment to give thanks for those things we are grateful for in our life. It is an occasion of togetherness, whether spent with loved one, or friends it is a day to reflect on the past year. while some mark Thanksgiving with the watching of the Macy's Day parade, or a play in the 1st snow of winter... A Southern Thanksgiving would not be complete with out the "Southern Fixings" on the table, "Southern Ball" on TV (football of course) and Southern Decorations Throughout your home..

From a simple Fall wreath on your door, to pumpkin scented candles throughout your home there are hundreds of ways to decorate your home this fall for Thanksgiving. For some the table setting and centerpieces are just as important as the "fixings" on the table. Below is a basic list of things you can do to decorate your home.

1. Pick up some seasonal candles. From holiday scents such as pumpkin pie, to holiday shapes - candles can be used to decorate your home or create the perfect center piece for your table

2. Make or purchase a center piece for your thanksgiving table. Traditional items include a cornucopia , turkeys, pilgrims, etc A quick fix, if you have left list until last minute it to scatter some fall leaves/nuts around several pillar candles in the center of your table.

3. Set your table with a table cloth, table runner, place mats, napkins, etc in autumn themed prints or solids. Don't forget the napkin rings, and/or place cards! Complete your table with your fine china.
