Eating Heathier in 2010....

One of my new years resolutions was to eat healthier. With a ever changing work schedule I have found it easy to snack in the past, leaving me not hungry at meal times. This year I am going to try a couple things to help curb my appetite...
  • Chewing Gum: Orbit is my favorite, especially in winter mint. It has 0 calories, and chewing it gives subsides my hunger for an hour or two. While I can't chew gum at work, I can anywhere else! Just have to remember the etiquette rules of chewing gum... and resist my urges to blow bubbles
  • Water:  Goal is to drink more water each day. Not only am I doing this becuase it is heathly, but because by doing so I will a:drink less diet coke 2. I will feel more full! I have a cute tumbler with my monogram on it, and also a new nalgene bottle, so I should be good to go at both work and play!

  • Eat more Fruits, Veggies & Nuts: Not only are the prior good for me, but they are great "grab and go" snacks when headed to work, a meeting, etc.. Some of my favorite include: bananas, apples, watermelon, carrots, broccoli, peanuts, walnuts, etc. 
  • Portions & Planning- when cooking a meal.. try to cook a little extra. Upon completion make a "to go" container to bring to lunch the next day, or have for dinner the next night!
