Are you ready to "Par-Tee" (extra post today!)

Well, I am & so are the ladies of the Alpha Chi Omega chapter that I advice. This weekend is their annual charity golf tournament! I meet with the Par-Tee chair last night, to answer some last minute questions. The chapter hosts a kick off "Caddy BBQ" on Friday for parents, alumnae and golfers at the chapter house. During the BBQ golfers are given info as to what hole they will tee off from, along with reminders about the rules of the scramble, and a change to sign up for the longest drive & closest to the pin competition. Saturday is the actual tournament, golfers will be greeted at the course with goodie bags, and breakfast, and after a round of golf will receive lunch. Sunday is the wrap "Par-Tee" brunch, were awards will be given out.

So the one question, the chair had was ideas for centerpieces. Of course, you know I was excited to offer suggestions, as I love a good Party... so here is what I found Image from overreactorsanonymous.blogspot

I of course will do a "after post" and let you know what the chapter ended up doing! I can't wait to share the success of the weekend with you! The chapter will be sharing here shortly!

  1. Having previously worked at a golf course as an event planner, I have TONS of golf centerpiece ideas. An easy one that everyone always loves is a piece of astroturph cut out to look like a green with a "hole" in it large enough to accommodate the base of a small tin bucket (the kind they frequently have in the $1 section at Target) Then, unless you buy them around St. Patrick's day, spray paint the buckets green and remove the handle if you wish. Put a small piece of foam in the bottom of the bucket and use a 12-16" long wooden dowel with a crafted felt "tee flag" on the dowel. Fill in around the dowel in the bucket with chocolate golf balls. If you have favors, such as golf balls, you can display them on the turf too. :-D

  2. is Lexi too much or what? excellante!
