Easter Cookie Fun

If you know me, you know I love to bake, & I am always looking for an excuse to do so. So when my friend, Libby suggested we make some Easter treats for our staff at work, I of course said yes. We decided to do frosted sugar cookie cut outs, and cupcakes. For the cookies, we used the same recipe that I used for Christmas cookie cutouts, but I will admit, that we took the easy way out and used store bought frosting.

after mixing up the dough, until it is a soft dough like consistency I formed a ball, and prepped the counter with flour for rolling it into a flat sheet
Then with flour on the rolling pin, we rolled out the dough to 1/4 inch think and cut out our chicks, eggs, bunnys and carrots!
While the cookies were baking we prepped our icing.. Choosing 8 different colors + white!
Let the cookie decorating begin!
Chris, Kelly and I had a blast decorating cookies with frosting, icing, & candies!

While we were decorating cookies.. Libby made some cupcakes (little Easter Bunnies, & Easter Baskets) She used white frosting, & then coconut and jelly beans!
