Road Trip: Tuesday edition

O' Canada.... yup.. we arrived safe and sound to Quebec.. After a bit of a drive on the Trans Canada Freeway (I will never complain about the boring drive on I-10 again) ... we arrived at our destination. As I mentioned yesterday, we stayed at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. I learned that it is the most photographed hotel in the world. I can 100% see why. I know I posted photos I found online yesterday.. but check out my photo below. The hotel was 100% 1st class.. I still cannot believe that the BF booked it for us, and then at check in he upgraded up to a room with a view of the St. Lawrence river.. (see below)
We had dinner at a quaint little french restaurant, and then we called it a night, relaxing in our posh hotel room. We slept in a little later than we would of liked, but still managed to make it to Le 'Omeletee  (sp?) for breakfast. After breakfast, we truly attacked the city (we mapped out plans of everything we wanted to see the night before) we strolled through the streets, popping into shops of interest. Saw the Cathedral of Notre Dame (not as good as the one in France, but beautiful none the less), went to the Musee de la Civilisation, Parliament, the Citadel, etc, etc...

Overall, I had a great time in Quebec,in hind sight we both wish we would of had another day there.. But high sight is always 20/20 right?? We decided we will have to go back, but next time perhaps in the winter.... Next up was Montreal! We had to navigate to Montreal, the same way we did to Quebec after we crossed the US border.. With no GPS, just by good ole Road Atlas. I must say I am a great navigator (if I can say so myself) We didn't get lost once, and had smooth driving.. .. ever wonder what your GPS will look like if you have no coverage.. See below..
