Going to Cali???

One of our regular customers was in shopping today, and mentioned she and her hubby were going to San Fransisco on vacation. We of course got to talking, and I promised that I would come up with the "must do" list for the Bay Area...  I of course suggested that she visit Design Sponge website to see if they had a city guide. Which they of course do, and you can get to it by clicking here.

Now for some of my personal must do/see's
  • Fishermans Wharf-
    •  Pier 39 had some great clam chowder
    • Peir 39 bloody marys @ Eagle Cafe
    • Great shows @ slim's and The Independent (both have live music, check their sites to see what is playing)
    • Piouf for mussells
  • Ghirardelli Square Square-
  • Berkley  Area
    • Bette's Oceanview Dinner for brekfast/bunch
    • Peet's on Vine Street- amazing coffee
    • Chez Panissse (Shattuck Avenue)-great food
    • Rivoli (Solano Avenue, in Albany next to Berkle
  • Downtown
    • Specialtys for lunch (near Folsom Street)
    • Rincon Center- great lunch spot (with piano player and waterfall)
  •  Golden Gate Bridge
    • I would suggest renting a bike and biking over to the island for lunch. Blazzing Saddles is a great company to do so with
    • Miley park- has a great view of the bridge, and is not too touristy.. if you want to get a different view
  • City sites
    • While I have not taken a segway tour in San Fransico, I did take a City Segway in DC, and loved the experience and the company. It might be something to check out.
    • Telegraph Hill
    • Coit Tower
    • Lombardi Street
    •  Grace Cathedral

  1. She should visit the California Academy of the Sciences - it's in Golden Gate Park. They even have an after hours Wine and Dine Tour!
