Hi, I'm Susi and I write for Arcadian Lighting about cool light fixtures and design trends. I'm so happy to be visiting Simply Southern Girl today as a guest blogger. My guest post is all about mixing stripes and florals. I love mixing up patterns in a room; stripes and floral patterns are a classic combination. Here are some of my favorite ways to combine them for one gorgeous look. Enjoy!
Bedroom Designs
Stripes and florals are a great pattern combination for a bedroom. The masculine stripes balance the feminine florals to create a space for both genders.
Dining Room
Love the alternating mix of stripes and floral patterns on the chairs in this pretty yellow and white dining room. Keeping the colors simple lets the patterns stand out.
Living Room
Combining stripes and florals in the same fabric makes for a classic cottage pattern. Large lavender and white stripes set a colorful background for yellow roses in this cozy looking chair.
Living Room
Love how this room mixes stripes on the floor with floral upholstery on the love seat. Crisp blue and white gives the room a beachy feel; the floral pattern gives it a feminine twist. So many things to love hereĆ³huge potted plant, great white lamps, beautiful airy draperies!
Living Room
Pretty cottage roses on a floral wallpaper look lovely with striped upholstery on a side chair. Pairing a bold pattern with a more subtle pattern creates balance and interesting texture.
Bedroom Designs
Pale gray stripes and pink floral patterns give this bed a shabby-chic look. The mix of patterns works because the colors are kept in the same faded tones.
Living Room
Bold stripes on the walls dominate this space. Soft floral patterns on the pillows soften the strong lines of the blue and white stripes. Love the great outdoor light and big wall art against the wide stripes.
Bedroom Decor
Sometimes stripes and florals combine into a single pattern. Love the linear stripes of flowers on this modern orange and white wallpaper. How much do you love these two patterns together?
